Workflow

Describe a product. Get a BOM. Mill the remainder.

The first bar is not “generate any part from a prompt.” It is: name the machine — a car, a mower, a bike — resolve what can be bought, keep one bill of materials, and only fabricate what catalogs do not sell.

A short brief is enough to start: function, envelope, the standards you already buy to.

Resolve catalog parts

Prefer official 3D from manufacturer catalogs — DIN/ISO fasteners, bearings, motors, profiles — over inventing mill-everything stock.

One BOM, with SKUs

Each bought line keeps manufacturer SKU and standard. That is the document purchasing and the shop actually use.

Custom remainder in the human CAD

Housings, brackets, weldments stay fully editable feature trees: sketches, extrudes, assemblies, mates.

Mill only what you cannot buy

Print, mill, or cut the leftover. Do not generate a STEP of a hex bolt that DIN 933 already defines.
